POLISHED NICKEL
You'll often see nickel plating used on brass beds, as many users prefer the unique look and improved resistance. Nickel plating is often used to give the brass a shiny, silver-like appearance. Our process of nickel plating involves immersing the brass in a solution, a current is passed through which causes the nickel to settle on the surface of the brass, leaving a beautiful silvery shine and a long lasting protection barrier for the bedframe.

Care

CARE FOR YOUR BRASS OR NICKEL BED

Our luxury brass and nickel beds are made using the highest quality pure brass, protected by a durable lacquer coating.

Brass qualities
Pure brass will naturally mellow and darken with age. Small ‘casting marks’ may be visible due to the authentic manufacturing process.

Cleaning your brass or nickel bed
Dust your bed frame with a soft dry cloth. Do not use cleaning agents as they may damage the lacquer coating. Do not use chemicals such as hairspray or cosmetics near the bed as they may damage the brass or nickel finish.

Moving the bed
The mattress and base are both supported on the bed so do not move the bed without first removing the mattress and base system. Do not pull or push the bed from the head or foot end only, as this may cause serious damage. Instead, with one person on either side of the bed, hold the frame at the midway point, and carefully lift or slide the bed into position.
