Care

CARE FOR YOUR PAINTED WOODEN BED
Hand-painted furniture has an intrinsic beauty of its own and will vary from project to project, so a suite of furniture may comprise several items of varying hue. Once painted, every piece of furniture is then artistically distressed to mimic the wear and tear associated with the passing of time. Subtle differences should not be regarded as a defect.

Looking after your painted wood bed
Textured and brush-applied painted finishes have an eggshell sheen lacquer. You should not use wax on these finishes. Instead, clean with a cloth dampened in mild soapy water. To avoid warping and splitting keep wooden beds away from direct heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces.  Avoid bleaching by keeping your painted wooden bed out of direct sunlight.

Moving the bed
The mattress and base are both supported on the bed so do not move the bed without first removing the mattress and base system. Do not pull or push the bed from the head or foot end only, as this may cause serious damage. Instead, with one person on either side of the bed, hold the frame at the midway point, and carefully lift or slide the bed into position.
